More love, more faith and more humility: more Jesus!

2011 has come
yet it has not come by its own force
but by the will of Him whose sun shines on us every day
because He wills it so

Looking back at this year
I am amazed at God's work in his people
It was good to hear several of them speak
Their stories I almost forgot
yet You never forget them but know them by name

Didn't want to talk, you know
But I enjoyed their recolections
And I'm grateful to God for each of them
yet standing up wasn't what I wanted
Thought I had nothing interesting to say

But I thought of these last weeks
Of how God's sun passes through my window every morning
Why this is so? I asked myself
One small reminder of His love for me
May I never grow dull of your precious gifts!

Take me where you want to go
Plant me deep that I may grow
More love, more faith, more humility
Less of me and more of You
Make my life a steady prayer to you
